PASSPORTS

1. Issuance of First Passport

REQIREMENTS FOR RE-ISSUANCE (Full passport pages / expired passports)
1 Duly Completed Online registration form from the Immigration website: (www.immgration.gov.ng)
2 Evidence of Online payment of Passport (Payment reciept)
3 Birth Certificate or Attestation of Birth from National Population Commission duly signed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja (For applicants born in Nigeria)
4 Two (2) recent passport-sized photographs
5 Police Report (where necessary)
6 Duly completed Guarantor’s Form
7 1 Passport sized photograph of the Guarantor
8 A photocopy of the Guarantor’s E-Passport data page
9 Certificate of Origin (from Applicant’s Local Govt)
10 Evidence of Residency in France
11 Handwritten letter stating circumstance of being in France without Nigerian passport and proof of address in France
12 Letter of consent from Parents (For under-aged children - up to 17 Years of age)
13 Photocopy of parent's (Father or Mother) E-Passport data page

Please note that approval of processing for first time E- passport is considered on a case by case basis. Applicants will be informed when their application has been processed.

2. Passport Re-issuance

REQIREMENTS FOR RE-ISSUANCE (Full passport pages / expired passports)
1 Presentation of old passport
2 Residence Permit in France
3 Duly Completed Online registration form from the Immigration website:  (www.immgration.gov.ng)
4 Evidence of Online payment of Passport fee (Payment reciept)
5 Duly completed Guarantor's form
6 Guarantor's e-passport data page & one passport-sized photograph
7 Two (2) passport-sized photographs of the Applicant

3. Lost Passport

REQUIREMENTS FOR LOST PASSPORT RE-ISSUANCE
1 Police Report (This should be duly translated to English language and a copy of both the French and English version MUST be submitted)
2 Data page of lost passport
3 Birth Certificate or Attestation of Birth from National Population Commission duly legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja (For applicants born in Nigeria)from National Population Commission duly legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja (For applicants born in Nigeria)
4 Residence Permit in France
5 Payment of the sum of €188.00 for lost passport
6 Duly Completed Online registration form from the Immigration website:  (www.immgration.gov.ng)
7 Evidence of payment of Passport fee online (Payment receipt)
8 Completed Guarantor's form
9 Guarantor's passport data page & one passport-sized photograph
10 Two (2) Passport-sized photographs of Applicant
11 Handwritten Letter addressed to the Comptroller- General of Nigeria Immigration Service (CGI), Abuja, indicating circumstances of lost passport

To start your E-Passport Application, Follow the steps laid out below. 

1: ONLINE PASSPORT APPLICATION; Make an online Application and Payment to the Nigerian Immigration service.

2: UPLOAD REQUIRED DOCUMENTS; Upload required documents to the Nigerian Embassy in Paris France.

3: BOOK  EMBASSY APPOINTMENT; Book you appointment for Passport collection. Note Embassy Appointment Bookings are set 2 weeks from the date of the booking.

If you have already applied online and received a date for an appointment, please note that notice of your cancelled appointment has been sent to the email you provided.

All efforts are being made to provide you with a new appointment as early as possible. You will be contacted by phone with your new appointment date. Please do not come to the embassy until you receive a new appointment date.

*** APPLICANTS ARE KINDLY ADVISED TO NOTE THAT THE DATA PAGE OF THEIR LOST PASSPORT, HANDWRITTEN LETTER TO THE CGI AND POLICE REPORT MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE EMBASSY, WHO WILL THEN FORWARD THEM TO THE NIGERIAN IMMIGRATION SERVICE (NIS) HEADQUARTERS IN ABUJA FOR APPROVAL BEFORE YOUR PASSPORT CAN BE RE-ISSUED.

WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF THE NIS, THEIR PASSPORTS CANNOT BE RE- ISSUED.
