I am Dr John Aikeremiokha the Global Nigeria Student Ambassador. I am undertaking a transcontinental road trip from the United Kingdom to Nigeria to formally draw attention to a United Nations–supported initiative designed to strengthen diaspora participation in Nigeria’s local development efforts.
The initiative encourages Nigerians living abroad to engage constructively by bidding for local government projects, thereby contributing skills, expertise, and investment to grassroots development across the country.
In furtherance of this objective, all Nigerians resident outside the country are required to register with Nigerian embassies or high commissions in their countries of residence as part of a coordinated framework for transparency, accountability, and sustainable development collaboration.
Call to Action:
Nigerians in the diaspora are hereby urged to register promptly at their respective Nigerian embassies and actively participate in this initiative, supporting nation-building through structured diaspora engagement and locally driven development projects.
