CAREER SUMMARY OF: AMBASSADOR MUAZAM IBRAHIM JIBRIN NAYAYA Ambassador Muazam Ibrahim Jibrin NAYAYA is a career Diplomat and Administrator, a Deputy Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abuja, presently serving as Charge D' Affaires at the Embassy of Nigeria Paris, France. He has acquired over twenty-six years of progressive work experience cutting across diverse roles in International Relations, Administration, Regional Co-operation and Integration and Management. Ambassador Nayaya holds a Bachelor of Science (B Sc.) degree in Public Administration, awarded b the University of Abuja in 1996. He also holds a Diploma in Mass-Communication, awarded by the University of Jos in 1992. He obtained a Masters in International Affairs and Diplomacy in 2008 and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management in 1993 both awarded by the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. In 2019, Ambassador Nayaya was elected to Fellowship by the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC, Nigeria). He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management. Prior to his current role, he had several responsibilities, including: Head Middle-East and Gulf Division; Assistant Director, (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) Headquarters, Abuja. He had also served as Head Political, Protocol and Information; Head of Chancery and Minister-Counsellor, Information and Culture while serving at the Consulate General of Nigeria, Johannesburg, South Africa between 23 rd February 2016 - 17th July 2019. Ambassador Nayaya is a recipient of Several Awards and Commendations. Among which are: Commendation and Appreciation for Exceptional Services by His Excellency the Executive Governor of Bauchi State dated 27th May 2015; Recommendation by the Consul General, Consulate General of Nigeria, Johannesburg, South Africa, dated 20th October, 2022; Appointment to the ancestral title of Madakin Ningi, Ningi Emirate, Bauchi State, dated 7 February 2012; Most Resourceful and Diligent Person Award, Foreign Service Academy, Lagos, dated 06th May 2009; Letter of Commendation by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation and Integration in Africa, dated 21st March 2005; Certificate of Honour by the Department of Public Administration, University of Abuja, dated 24th August 1996; Message of appreciation by the Vice-Counsellor, University of Abuja, dated 6th August 1993. On 8th April 2023, • Ambassador Nayaya was appointed Ambassador in-situ by the President Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari. Ambassador Nayaya has participated in several international and local trainings, seminars and conferences. He is fifty-two (52) years old and hails from Ningi, Bauchi State. He is married with children and currently resides in Paris, France.
